From casting brief to conversation.

What should a musical theatre casting brief include?

Send the production title, role breakdown, audition requirements, rehearsal dates, performance dates, venue or touring schedule and fee or contract information. Include any singing range, dance or movement requirements and whether you are casting a principal role, cover, swing or ensemble track.

Do profiles confirm skills and availability?

Use the published credits, training and footage as a starting point, and check the representation areas on the individual profile. Do not infer a vocal range or specialist skill from a headshot or role title. Ask the agent to confirm suitability, current materials and availability for the specific production.

Where should performers apply for representation?

Use the separate representation application and select Musical theatre. The current application is for trained performers aged 18 or over with professional production credits. Include training, productions and roles, current performance footage and a Spotlight profile if available. Applying does not confirm representation.
